The rear camera can’t find the floor.

Find some light, tilt your phone toward the floor and move it slowly from side to side. Textured or patterned floors are picked up quickly; shiny tiles, plain carpet and dim rooms can take a little longer.

My character looks like they’re floating.

Once the floor is detected, tap again where their feet should touch. Sizing them close to a real height makes the perspective line up and looks far more natural. In very dim light the shadow may look faint.

The background of my imported image isn’t removed cleanly.

The more clearly the figure stands out from its background, the better the cutout. A PNG with a transparent background works best. Hair tips and busy backgrounds may leave a few traces.

Why does the app need camera and photo access?

The camera is used only to place your character in the space, and photo access only to save the pictures you take. Photo access is “add only”, so the app never reads your existing photos. When you import an image, only the photo you pick in the iOS photo picker is handed to the app.

Are my photos uploaded anywhere?

No. Camera frames, imported images and the photos you take are all processed and stored on your device. There is no account and nothing is sent to a server. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Can I import photos of celebrities or characters from other works?

Please import only images you own or have permission to use. For anything else, check the rights yourself and keep it to personal, non-commercial fun. The Terms of Use have the details.
